World Sight Day program was celebrated on 11th Oct-2019 in Dr.Salins Vision Center Manakheli Tq Humnabad Dist Bidar. In this program society conducted Free Cataract screening and Surgery camp Under DBCS Bidar, in this camp total 70 patients Screened and 15 patients were operated in free of cost, in this program we did Blind walk Jatha to do eye awareness at Dr. Salins Vision Center to CHC Manakheli around 60 members participation in this Jaatha Including Asha workers.
We invited DBCS Officer for the program and he addressed the public regarding the Govt schemes & facilities under NPCB program. It was the successful campaign for Cataract Patients.Dr Sybil.M Director of Velemegna Eye Hospital Bidar Given Awareness and Knowledge of Glaucoma among Adult Patients.

On occasion of World Sight Day on 10th Oct, 2019, "Meet the Medical Expert Program" was conducted by All India Ophthalmological Society (AIOS) under the leadership of Padmashree Prof. Dr.S. Natarajan, President, AIOS in association with Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai and Tamilnadu Science & Technology Center, Chennai. This program was organised for the school children , for the young generation to bring the awareness of Importance of Eye Donation , which is the need of an hour.
Mrs. Meena Dadha, Founder & Director , MUKTI; MAJOR Dassan - Senior Media Journalist and Mr Ramkrishnan - Promotional Manager, healthcare Magazine were the Guest of Honour.
Dr. Sheila John , HOD Teleophthalmology, Sankara Netralaya delivered the welcome address followed by talk on "EYE Care" by Mrs Revathy - Asst Prof of SN Academy and "Importance of Eye Donation" by Mr Hari Babu - GM Eye Bank of Sankara Nethralaya.
Dr Sounderajan Perumal - ED , TN Science and Technology also graced the occassion with his presidential speech.

We at Dr. Agarwals Eye Hospital jointly with Sankar eye hospital along with Helen Keller lions association conducted the Eye donation fortnight awareness rally and human chain on the 6th of september 2019. 150 nursing students attended the Human chain and awareness talks were given by the Medical director - Dr. V M Sankaran and Consutant for Cornea - Dr. Moses Rajamani. M.
PMJF. Lion.V. Ramar - Lions dist governor - Flagged off the human chain. Dr. PT Saravanan of IMA kancheepuram presided the function and Mr. E. Ezhilan a renowned educationist was the Guest of Honor.
On the occasion of World sight day 2019, the Ophthalmology Department at Vydehi Institute of Medical Science and research center Bangalore conducted a free cataract surgery camp, conducted free screening programs at the OPD, conducted a QUIZ COMPETITION and COLLAGE MAKING competition for undergraduate students to help create awareness and promote 'Vision First '.
